Another fun highlight of Shanghai was getting to eat at a fancy smancy Pizza Hut!
We ate some really good food here in Shanghai. Like at the Yin Yuan gardens we had these little cookie cake things with cream in the middle. We weren't quite sure why we were waiting in line, but we figured it was a long line for a reason, so why not. We were right and it was worth it!
We saw a 7/11 with a slurpy machine inside. We also saw a bunch of other American restaurants. KFC, and McdDonalds are the most popular. We also saw so many foreigners we forgot how to act around them... Tina had a little accident and said fairly loudly in front of a basketball team from the US that she thought the boy in the gray shirt was super attractive. They looked right at us. With a few flirty comments they were gone, but it made us laugh. We will probably have a slightly hard time adjusting to the fact that everyone around us can understand us. Here we say and do just about anything we please and the Chinese people seem to love us anyway. We are simply silly American's if we do anything stupid. I do very much enjoy the freedom the language barrier surprisingly gives us :) |
